Two airmen perished when #3 Wireless School's Fleet Fort 60F (#3611) aircraft crashed, shortly following the take-off, 1 ½ miles north of La Salle, Manitoba.
The casualties of this accident were-
Sergeant Earle Clinton VANCE and Aircraftman 2nd Class John Thomas Desmond CUMMINS.
[The Fleet Fort aircraft was used to train wireless (radio) operators and had a relatively short operational career.]
